Lately, it seems like everyone is talking about nervous system regulation. But just a few years ago, this topic was a bit more "taboo." Even as an occupational therapist, I didn't quite understand it until I started doing the work myself. I realized that if I want to show up fully for my family, clients, and friends, I need to stop living like I'm being chased by a bear all day long.
But having ADHD, it felt hard to stick with the same routine everyday. I had to learn how to "hack" my system to figure out what works for me and how to make it sustainable in the long run. And that's where the idea for this guide (and my nervous system course coming soon) was born.
Who is this guide for?
If you feel like you're always rushing, behind on everything, and live with chronic pain or anxiety, this guide is for you.
If you have EDS, POTS, MCAS, ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, autoimmune conditions, or live in a body that feels unpredictable, this guide is for you.
If you have ADHD, Autism, or suspect you are neurodivergent, this guide is definitely for you.
This guide will teach you:
How your nervous system actually works + daily habits to support it
How to notice when you are becoming dysregulated
How to move yourself back into safety
How to use your eyes, body, and breath to calm your system
How to build regulation into daily life without rigid routines
Regulation is not about doing more. It’s about learning how to listen to your body. Small moments throughout the day are enough to begin shifting your nervous system to a more regulated state.
