NERVOUS SYSTEM REGULATION IS MORE THAN JUST FEELING CALM

You've probably heard it ALL before.

"Just take a deep breath."

"Try meditating."

"You need to manage your stress."

...it can leave you feeling a bit like this. 🙄

When you're living with chronic conditions like dysautonomia / POTS, symptomatic joint hypermobility (hEDS/HSD), and ADHD / autism, your nervous system may have a mind of its own. And those types of suggestions can feel incredibly frustrating.

Because oftentimes, your body has a legitimate physiological reason for feeling overwhelmed.

And while breathwork and meditation can be wonderful tools, nervous system regulation is SO much more than that.

It's learning to recognize your body's signals before they become impossible to ignore.

It's learning your triggers and flare patterns. It's knowing when your body needs movement, nourishment, sensory input, or REST.

And learning how to respond to your symptoms without immediately spiraling into fear.

And ultimately?

It's building a lifestyle that supports your nervous system so you can spend less time simply surviving and more time actually LIVING.

That's exactly why I created this course.

Hi 👋 I'm Dr. Nicole

I created this course because I GET IT! AND I've been there too.

I used to feel either so confused by my body or just completely dissociate altogether. I pushed through my body's signals, ignored symptoms, and buried my inner struggles deep within my body.

I'd spend my days and nights scrolling, consuming content and feeling completely frozen.

I didn't even realize I was having a nervous system response. Nor did I understand ANY of the signals my body was sending me.

I spent YEARS in pain, riddled with GI symptoms, brain fog, fatigue, anxiety, inflammation - yet most doctors had no answers for me.

I pushed through because I didn't think there was anything else I could do. Looking back now, I understand how loud my body was SCREAMING at me for attention (and to slow down). I just didn't know how to listen or what I was even listening to.

I used to think it was normal to nap every day after work. Or completely crash after school. And before I had kids, I could afford to do those things. I had the time to rest - to accommodate myself and mask my symptoms because I could build in the appropriate downtime my body needed.

But after becoming a mom, my subconscious coping strategies were exposed. I couldn't rest when I needed or escape from the sensory overload, and my nervous system revolted. I was stuck in a constant state of stress, shifting between fight-flight-freeze allll throughout the day.

And here I was, a stay-at-home mom (at the time), having no idea how to regulate or what I even NEEDED to feel better, caring for an infant in the height of the pandemic.

I was a MESS to say the very least.

But over these last few years, something magical has happened in that I found my way back home to myself. And when I say back, I mean I actually truly FOUND myself - who I really am and what I need on a cellular level... for the very first time in my life.

Because even though at the time I had been an OT for close to a decade, I had no idea how to care for my nervous system, attend to my sensory needs, adjust my daily routines, or make the lifestyle modifications needed to actually thrive as a new parent. I was living in survival mode - and wasn't even aware of it at the time. I just thought all of it was normal.

Because no one ever showed me differently.

AND that's why I'm SO passionate about this topic. And why I've spent months pouring so much into this!

Because I know I'm not alone out there and I truly understand what it's like to feel alone in your body, like no one else understands, while simultaneously not even understanding how to get yourself to a better place.

That's why I'm here. To break down the BASICS for you. In bite sized videos, with realistic strategies and practical tools and worksheets to help you build consistent habits over time.

Because if I can do it, so can you.

Google Review, Intuitive Therapies & Pelvic Health

"I can't say enough good things about Nicole! I jokingly told her where have you been all my life, but it's kind of true! She has gone above and beyond to help me with not just pelvic health but general chronic musculoskeletal issues. Finding someone who truly understands hypermobility is so difficult, but Nicole is one of the only people I have ever met who not only understands it but also knows what to actually do with it. She goes above and beyond every single session, and I am always so impressed with her knowledge, skill, and attentiveness. She truly cares about her clients, and I never feel rushed or like just another number. If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would!"

Google Review, Intuitive Therapies & Pelvic Health

"TL;DR: If I could give 10 stars, I would. Nicole Woodruff of Intuitive Therapies & Pelvic Health is hands down the best Occupational Therapist, for both the general public and those with multiple chronic illnesses, like myself. She is understanding and empathetic, having had similar or identical experiences herself, and is determined to help see me improve and customized a plan specific for me. I feel truly seen as a person instead of just a patient. I cannot thank her or recommend her enough for what she has been able to do for me."

Google Review, Intuitive Therapies & Pelvic Health

Dr. Nicole is incredible! Not only does she take a holistic/integrative approach, she is extremely intuitive, empathetic, and approachable. I started seeing Nicole for pelvic floor therapy but she was quickly able to identify a lot of contributing muscles weakness in my glutes and deep core and work with me to start getting stronger. She has a ton of tools in her tool kit so every session looks a little bit different which I love- myofascial work, cupping, strength training, breathwork, pelvic bowl meditations, etc. She is the best!"

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to have a chronic illness to benefit from this course?

Absolutely not! While this course was created with chronic illness and neurodivergence in mind, the education and regulation strategies can benefit anyone looking to better understand their nervous system, manage overwhelm, and build healthier daily habits. That being said, not all modules may apply (for example, flare tracking).

I already know a LOT about nervous system work. Is this course right for me?

This course was designed primarily for people who are newer to nervous system regulation or who have tried a few strategies in the past but haven't quite figured out what works for them.

We'll start with the foundations and build from there, helping you better understand your body, recognize your triggers and early warning signs, and explore practical tools you can actually incorporate into your everyday life.

If you're already well-versed in nervous system regulation, have a solid understanding of your body's patterns, and have an established toolbox of strategies that work for you, this course may not offer a lot of new information.

But if you're still trying to connect the dots between what you're feeling, what your body needs, and how to respond, you're exactly who I created this course for!

Will this course heal my POTS, EDS, MCAS, or other chronic conditions?

No. Nervous system regulation is not a cure for chronic illness, and I would never suggest otherwise. However, learning to recognize your body's signals, support your nervous system, and respond to stressors more intentionally may help you better manage aspects of daily life with chronic illness. This course is intended to complement—not replace—appropriate medical care.

What if I have very limited energy or experience frequent flare-ups?

That's exactly why I included a variety of strategies, including gentle, low-energy, and horizontal options.

You can work through the material at your own pace and choose practices appropriate for your current capacity.

Not every strategy will be appropriate for every condition or symptom day.

Do I need special equipment?

No! Most of the strategies taught in this course require little to no equipment.

I'll also discuss optional tools and consumer devices, but purchasing additional equipment is not necessary to benefit from the course.

What if I have ADHD and struggle to stick to routines?

You're in the right place! As someone who lives with ADHD myself, I understand how overwhelming rigid routines can feel. That's why this course emphasizes building a flexible Regulation Menu rather than another strict daily checklist.

Is this course self-paced?

Yes! You can work through the lessons at a pace that feels manageable for your body, schedule, and energy levels.

Is this a replacement for occupational therapy or medical treatment?

No. This is an educational course and does not establish a therapist-client relationship or replace individualized medical evaluation, treatment, or rehabilitation.

How long will the introductory price be available?

The special $97 founding member price is available for seven days, beginning October 19 and ending October 25, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET.

After that, the price increases to $197.

YOU DESERVE MORE THAN A LIFE CENTERED AROUND MANAGING SYMPTOMS

Imagine knowing your body well enough to recognize when something feels off, before you're completely overwhelmed or heading into another flare.

Knowing what helps YOU feel better, instead of constantly searching for the next tool, supplement, or strategy.

Being able to recognize your patterns, make adjustments when you need to, and feel more confident in the decisions you're making for your health.

And most importantly? Having more time and energy for the things you actually WANT to be doing.

That's why I created Nervous System Regulation Made Simple.

Because I want you to understand your body, learn how to work WITH it instead of against it, and start building a lifestyle that supports you.

I know we all have a million things going on. I know the thought of another course may feel overwhelming. But I promise, if you take your time with this and slowly work through the modules, you'll learn more about yourself and how your unique nervous system is designed. We're all made differently and that's why exploring different tools is a key part of this course.

Learning how to listen to YOUR body and using SIMPLE strategies to regulate consistently is what it's all about.

Your enrollment includes:

✓ Comprehensive nervous system education tailored to chronic illness and neurodivergence

✓ A library of practical regulation strategies and video demonstrations

✓ Guided meditation and affirmation resources

Founder of the Connective Collective

Hi! I'm Dr. Nicole Woodruff.

I'm an Occupational Therapist with over 14 years of experience and the founder of Intuitive Therapies & Pelvic Health, my private practice specializing in pelvic health and complex chronic conditions.

But my experience goes far beyond my credentials.

I also live with hEDS, POTS, and ADHD.

I understand what it's like to have a body that doesn't always cooperate. To experience unpredictable symptoms and feel overwhelmed by everything you're supposed to be doing to improve your health.

And I've learned that sometimes the constant pursuit of healing can become exhausting in itself.

I'm also a wife to my husband, Cort, a mom to two little boys, and guardian to a teenager. Outside of work, you'll usually find me spending time with my family, cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles, traveling, or enjoying live music.

I created this course because I believe everyone deserves access to education that helps them better understand their body—without needing to spend thousands of dollars or countless hours piecing everything together themselves.

My hope is that this course helps you feel more informed, empowered, and confident in how you care for yourself.
